  • Week Ending 23rd July 2011 - Record Breaking Week!
The weather was not kind for the time of year with approximately 3 inches (75mm) of rain to bring the lake level up. But, the weather was offset by the sheer numbers of Carp being caught! In all, 74 Carp were landed, including three at 60lb plus, to bring the total catch weight to 2,725lb 2ozs (1.2 Tons). A staggering achievement form a superb fishery. • End of Year - 2010
This has been a record breaking year in many respects. Guests landed between then 790 Carp of which: -
        130 were between 40 and 50lbs,
         59 were between 50 and 60lbs and
         22 were over 60lbs.
A never before seen 60lb 11oz Half Linear Carp was also landed just prior to the end of the season. Amazing!

At the end of the season the lake was drained down for essential work to be undertaken and 500kgs of Roach were removed. The last of the big snags have now been removed. All of the platforms on the far bank have been removed as they were showing their age. In their place, the banks have been re-modeled and landscaped. New photos will be added when they become available.

We would like to wish you a very Happy New Year and tight lines.

  • 10th July 2010 - Spawning for this year finally ends!
Finally, after several weeks of changeable weather where water temperature went up and down almost on a daily basis, a period of good weather has resulted in an end to spawning activity. Hopefully the Carp will now settle down to the task in hand - namely munching. We all have our fingers crossed.
